Where single vineyards in Napa Valley and Willamette Valley meet to create award winning Pinot noir
Some of Our Grapes Travel
Our wines are from a 5 acre vineyard of Pinot noir grapes in Carneros, Napa Valley, California and a 15.27 acre vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains, Willamette Valley, Oregon. The award-winning 2006 Carneros Napa Valley Pinot noir was produced and bottled at our winery in Oregon. 2007 and 2008 Carneros vintages were also produced and bottled in Oregon. Look for the first Árdíri Oregon Pinot noir from the 2009 harvest.
Winemaker’s Message
“Árdíri” is Sicilian for “taking a risk” and can also mean “being consumed by fire“. Árdíri thus defines our concerted efforts to personally nurture a small but demanding vineyard in the Carneros appellation of Napa Valley. The vineyard’s unique Pinot noir clones have generated a traditional harvest of quality fruit that have been blended in French oak to form a striking and complex vintage especially complementary to meals. We hope you enjoy this elegant wine and its special meaning for us. Buon Appetito!!!
